New Courses Beginning in September
Making your days shorter and your job easier.
I have spent years watching extraordinary nonprofit leaders do meaningful work with limited time, limited money, and technology that seems determined to make everything more complicated.
You know the scene. You sit down to create one simple flyer, and two hours later you are arguing with a text box. You need to collect donations, but the payment fees keep eating into the money you worked so hard to raise. You hear that artificial intelligence can save time, but you are not quite sure what to ask it—or whether you should trust it at all.
That is why I created my new series of practical technology courses specifically for nonprofit leaders, club officers, volunteers, and community changemakers.
These are not courses filled with technical language and hurried demonstrations. I teach one step at a time, answer the questions people are sometimes afraid to ask, and help you practice until you can confidently do it yourself.
Because technology should support your mission—not stand in its way.
Course One: Canva for Nonprofits
Canva can help your organization create beautiful flyers, social media posts, newsletters, presentations, event invitations, and fundraising materials without hiring a professional designer.
But opening Canva for the first time can feel like walking into an enormous craft store when all you needed was one birthday card.
In this beginner-friendly course, I will show you how to:
Choose the correct design size
Work with templates without making everything look like a template
Add and format text
Upload photographs and logos
Use your organization’s colors consistently
Create clear, readable social media graphics
Download and share your finished designs
You will leave with something you created—and the confidence to create the next one on your own.
Course Two: Zeffy for Nonprofits
What if your nonprofit could collect donations, sell event tickets, manage registrations, communicate with supporters, and create fundraising campaigns without losing part of every gift to platform fees?
That is why we are learning Zeffy.
This course will help nonprofit leaders understand how to set up and use Zeffy for everyday organizational needs. We will explore donation forms, event registrations, contact lists, email communication, campaigns, receipts, and reports.
Most importantly, we will slow down and talk about how the pieces work together. You do not need another collection of disconnected online forms. You need a practical system that helps you stay organized and makes it easier for people to support your work.
Course Three: AI for Nonprofits
Artificial intelligence is not here to replace the heart, wisdom, or relationships that make nonprofit work possible. It is a tool—and when used thoughtfully, it can give busy volunteers something they desperately need: time.
In AI for Nonprofits, we will explore practical and responsible ways to use tools such as

Brainstorm programs and fundraising ideas
Draft newsletters and social media posts
Create meeting agendas and outlines
Turn rough notes into organized documents
Simplify complicated information
Develop volunteer instructions
Tell stronger stories about community impact
We will also discuss accuracy, privacy, ethics, and the importance of reviewing everything AI helps us create.
You will not be expected to become a technology expert. You will learn how to ask better questions, evaluate the answers, and use AI as a capable assistant—not an unquestioned authority.
Why I Created These Courses
I believe people learn best when they feel seen.
I have spent more than 20 years teaching technology, and I understand that adults do not need to be rushed, talked down to, or overwhelmed with fifty features they may never use. They need patient instruction, practical examples, and a safe place to ask,
“Can you show me that one more time?”
My work combines technology education with my experience in nonprofit leadership. I understand the realities of volunteer-run organizations because I live them too: small budgets, full calendars, changing officers, important community projects, and wonderful people doing their best.
These courses are about more than learning three platforms. They are about helping nonprofit leaders become more confident, more organized, and better equipped to serve their communities.
You already have the passion.
You already have the purpose.
Now let’s give you the practical tools to make your work a little easier—and perhaps even a little more fun.
Welcome to class.
Your Tech Fairy Godmother is ready.
